The hotel is close to shopping and the highway and that's important for me. The room is well appointed and very clean and the housekeeping staff are really friendly. The restaurant (Redwood Grille) is great....the food and staff are excellent. I've stayed here before and liked it and I'll stay again!
Front desk staff not as friendly as housekeeping staff and front desk are the first ambassadors we see!

Friendly front desk staff helped with my requests.
I encountered a major issue with the payment process. I was not given the option to pay with my debit card, and my credit card was charged without prior notice. The Wi-Fi was unreliable.

The stay was very good, would recomand. I liked the location that was central and adjacent to near by shopping complex and the restaurant and the shopping district. Tasty food in the in-house restaurant in the vicinity. The staff were top-class, provided me with good services.

I stayed here for one night while my daughter participated in a soccer game nearby. The room was spacious and clean. I appreciated having food options within walking distance, which is great when traveling with family.

I like the hotel location and the hotel itself. It was spacious, and the restaurant in the hotel was very good. Rooms were clean and beds soft. Hotel looked well kept up or gave the impression of such.
We lost power the night I was there. no lights in room but did have the option to remain in lobby if wanted to but really couldn't do that for long. Glad to see that the halls were lit though.

large and clean room, good bed, very friendly staff, good restaurant, easy parking, we could open room-window for fresh air
little noisy even when windows were closed (nearby traffic); room 217 is above the entrance, nearly all through the night cars (once a lorry arrived in front of the hotel at 3 a.m.!) and people were coming and going, a lot of talking and laughin. you could smell the cigarette smoke of smoking people in front of the entrance, when the window was open there is nearly no park or anything like that nearby for a little walk

Not bad considering hotel options in Halifax are expansive and dated. Casual restaurant in Hotel. I liked that this hotel also had stairs with glass walls. This actually made it fun and safe to burn a few calories. Free outdoor parking and free internet that actually worked well.

The room was spacious and had a comfortable bed, made resting easy after long days. Lots of outlets near the desk made charging devices simple, and having a microwave and coffee maker helped start the mornings right. The internet connection had issues. Sometimes it worked well, while at other times it seemed like I was back in the dial-up days. The location is quite convenient to highways. On the downside, there isn't much around the hotel itself, so dining options outside were limited. Breakfast at the hotel featured some unique choices along with standard fare, and the service was commendable. The staff were friendly and accommodating, always eager to help with any requests. One oddity was that housekeeping didn't change the bedding during our 6-night stay, surprising considering the comfortable environment. It's a good choice if you need a reliable place with solid amenities, though a few tweaks could enhance it even further.
